This week we have come across figures like Mother Teresa, Martin Luther King, Simon Weil etc. all of them have worked for the betterment of people who were suffering at their time. I found the philosophy of Mother Teresa extremely compelling as she left her own country and settled at Calcutta in India in order to work for the poor and stricken humans. She is a renowned activist who worked very hard to eliminate the stigmas related to leprosy in India and searched ways through which those patients can be taken care of. She worked to spread awareness about leprosy that it is not contagious and can be treated.
